the Suffolk Churches site the Norfolk Churches site

The small print: The pages of The Essex Churches Site, The Norfolk Churches Site and The Suffolk Churches Site are entirely copyright except where otherwise specified. I hereby assert my right in international law to ownership of all images unless otherwise credited, and that all text except where quoted from other sources is my intellectual property. It is not permitted to cut and paste text or images from this site into another site without appropriate permission or credit.

The good news: You are welcome to reuse and credit any image or text from this site without prior permission, as long as it is entirely for non-commercial purposes. You must credit it. The credit should consist of the name Simon Knott and, if you are reusing material on a website, the appropriate URL from simonknott.co.uk, norfolkchurches.co.uk or suffolkchurches.co.uk. You don't need to include a web address if you are reusing material in printed form but I would be grateful if you could mention the site concerned. The only exceptions to this permission are the archive images on the Norfolk site which are copyright of the estate of George Plunkett. If you want to use those images, you'll need to clear it with them by contacting me for a contact address. Oh, and I'd also be grateful if you didn't use any of my text or images in any publication that would generally be considered discriminatory of people on the grounds of their race, gender, sexuality, intelligence or religious beliefs, though I'm sure you wouldn't.

The even better news: Institutional, organisational and commercial use can be arranged to cover future needs. These arrangements are currently with the BBC, the Churches Conservation Trust, Essex Historic Churches Trust, Suffolk Historic Churches Trust, Norfolk Historic Churches Trust, The Diocese of Norwich, the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, the University of the Third Age, the Victorian Society and the Friends of Friendless Churches. If you would like your organisation added to this list, please let me know. If you want to discuss the possibility of a commercial use, please contact me Individual churches and parishes are most welcome to use material from this site for any activities. Just follow the permission and credit rules in the section above. However, please consider carefully how you are going to use the material. Text should not be altered or abbreviated if this changes the meaning or emphasis, however subtly. If you embed my text within yours, you must make it clear which bit you got from me and which bit is yours.
