Suffolk Churches with wall paintings |

Because East Anglia's churches are built
from flint rubble, it was impossible for the Victorians
to scrape away the internal plaster, and thus a great
wealth of medieval wall paintings have been left to us.
They are still regularly being discovered under layers of
later whitewash. These are some of the most interesting. |
